Breslau (polnisch Wrocław, lateinisch Wratislavia) ist mit fast 650.000 Einwohnern die viertgrößte Stadt von Polen. Breslau liegt im Südwestendes Landes am Fluß Odra (Oder). In seiner Geschichte hatte Breslau zu Böhmen, Ungarn, Österreich und Preußen gehört. In Breslau leben ca. 150.000 Studenten.
